Police Commissioner Shashi Kumar Exceeds Expectations in Tackling Illegal Activities: Abbayya
Hubballi: Hubballi-Dharwad (East) MLA Prasad Abbayya has praised the measures taken by Hubballi-Dharwad Police Commissioner N. Shashi Kumar to curb illegal activities, criminal acts, and especially the sale of drugs and marijuana in the twin cities.
In a statement, Abbayya said, “It’s truly praiseworthy that the Police Department is working day and night to control the rampant marijuana, drug trade, and illegal activities in the twin cities. My colleague MLA Vinay Kulkarni and I had requested the government through District In-charge Minister Santosh Lad to appoint an efficient police officer like N. Shashi Kumar to maintain law and order and control illegal activities in the twin cities. We had heard about the bold measures Shashi Kumar had taken in cities where he previously served. I would like to congratulate Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Parameshwara for appointing such an efficient officer to the twin cities.”
Abbayya added, “Since taking charge as the Police Commissioner of the twin cities, the measures taken have instilled fear in the hearts of petty criminals, rowdy-sheeters, marijuana peddlers, and those engaged in illegal activities. Many have been forced to vacate the twin cities. Numerous FIRs have been filed, which is a testament to the Commissioner’s efficient administration.”
“Observing his administrative style and the steps taken to maintain law and order in the twin cities, we are confident that in the coming days, he will succeed in making the twin cities free from marijuana and criminal activities. The elected representatives of the twin cities fully support the Police Commissioner and the Police Department, who are providing administration beyond our expectations,” Abbayya stated in his release.
